Airport & Railway station

There are 2 airports in Kiev: the Boryspol Airport and the Zhulyany Airport.

Further we will explain how to get to the center of Kiev, namely, to Maidan Nezalezhnosti, from both airports:

Boryspol Airport – Kiev (Maidan Nezalezhnosti)

There are several ways to get to the center of Kiev from Borispol airport.

  1. The easiest way is to take a taxi. But be careful! At the airport exit you will be welcomed by taxi drivers who will charge you a gigantic fare. Therefore, it is better to use special taxi apps. The fare will be fixed and you can pay by credit card.
  2. The second option is less convenient, but cheaper – you can get to the center by taking a bus called SkyBus. All departures and arrivals are made at Terminal D of the Borispol airport. The bus from Terminal D goes straight from the arrival hall exit. Buses are bright pink with SkyBus written on them, so you will not be able to miss them. The SkyBus will take you to the Kharkovskaya metro station or to the railway station (Vokzalnaya metro station). From there you can take the subway to the center of the city. The SkyBus costs about 70 UAH. The fare is paid at the driver.

Airport “Zhulyany” – Kiev (Maidan Nezalezhnosti)

  1. The Zhulyany airport is located in Kiev unlike Borispol airport. You can take a taxi to get to the center of the city. It is better to order through special services or apps, same as with the Borispol airport. Local taxi drivers will ask 2, or even 3 times more than the actual fare.
  2. If you are keen to take the public transport, the 302 bus from Terminal A will take you to the “Kontraktovaya Ploschad” metro station. The center of the city is only 2 metro stations from there.

Railway Station / Bus – Maidan Nezalezhnosti

If you arrived in Kiev by train or by bus, then the metro will be the easiest way to get to the center. Upon arrival in Kiev, you will be within walking distance of the Vokzalnaya metro station.
